We lovingly support moms, dads and families in our community who need help in the face of a challenging pregnancy.WWMN is a program developed by the USCCB (United States Conference of Catholic Bishops). It is a parish-based initiative, which the Archdiocese of Atlanta encourages. This ministry lovingly supports moms, dads, and families facing challenging pregnancies by assisting with their spiritual, emotional and material (baby clothes, diapers, etc) needs. Financial, medical, or legal needs are helped with assistance from professional organizations such as Obria and other nearby Pregnancy Aid Clinics (PACs), SJN St Vincent de Paul, etc.

How You Could Be a Part of Walking With Moms in Need…
Follow Up with Moms/Dads/Families: We are a ministry of friendship and support in Christ. We typically start with an initial visit with a mom or family who is facing a challenging pregnancy to understand their situation better. We then follow-up with regular visits and keeping in touch over-the-phone as need be. English is sufficient in many situations. Sometimes we have parents who speak Spanish only, so there is a need for additional people on our team who speak both English and Spanish.
Pick Up and Deliver Larger Items: We sometimes need to pick up furniture (or possibly other larger items) and deliver to a family in need.
Write Cards/Notes of Encouragement: We would love to be able to support our families with cards and notes letting them know we are thinking of and praying for them.
Donate Books: We use several books on various occasions as gifts to support our families. You could purchase one or more of those and have it sent to the SJN Office, ℅ WWMN. If you choose to help in this way, we would provide a list of the books we use.
Become Part of One of the SJN Fellowship Teams: We are developing a time for fellowship at SJN with our WWMN families on each first Saturday of the month.
- Join the Host Team: In consultation with the WWMN Core Team, this team would do the overall planning, coordinating and hosting of the gatherings. As part of their work, this group would provide for the prayer and activity that would engender fellowship in Christ during our gatherings.
- Join the Set Up/Clean Up Team: This group would take care of set up and clean up for the gatherings.
- Join the Meal Team: These folks would take care of all aspects of a lovely brunch for everyone to enjoy together. This would include taking care of leftovers.
- Join the Shower Team: Sometimes a shower will be part of these gatherings. When this is the case, this group would plan and throw the shower.
